Nagpur: Traffic Control Branch on Thursday took action against public transport vehicles violating the traffic rules in the city.
Working under directions of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Â Gajanan Rahmane, the traffic cops challaned 363 vehicles.
Since Wednesday morning, the traffic cops positioned themselves on main thoroughfares and started checking auto-rikshaws, Jeep, Max, Omni car, private travel buses that are that are involved in illegal transportation including drivers indulge in rash driving.
Throughout the day 363 vehicles were checked by various traffic zones. Also traffic Control Branch has initiated procedures to recommend suspension and cancellation of driving permit of rule violators.
Traffic Control Branch has said in future such regular checking would continue. The police urged people to follow norms as violation of rules leads to road mishap.
