Association of medical Faculties (AMF) conducted a Continuing Medical Education programme Holds CMEÂ on Cardiology &Â a Joint Executive Meeting on Thursday 18th of April, 2019 at Hotel Tuli International, Sadar at 9-30 p.m.
At the outset, President-elect Dr. Anil Masand made a welcome speech.Dr. Sarfraz Ahmed and Dr. Asif Quraishi conducted the proceedings.
At the beginning, Dr. Mahesh Fulwani, Consulting Cardiologist and Director of Shrikrushna Hrudayalaya, Nagpur presented an unusual case of 35 years old female with chest pain. On investigation, in MRI she was found to have congenital anomaly and a tunnel from aorta to Right Atrium. This was causing ischemia to heart. There are a very few such cases reported in the world. She was operated upon and closed the abnormal path of blood vessel and made the postoperative fine recovery in a week’s time.
On follow up she is asymptomatic and doing well. Dr. Shantanu Sengupta chaired this case presentation.
This was followed by a Quiz on Cardiology by Dr. Anil Jawahirani and had lots of interest arousal in audience.
Dr. Shankar Khobragade delivered next talk. It was his 295th CME Lecture On Topic “Killer Number one – Heart Failure, Diagnosis and treatment with New Drug “ARNI ( Angiotensin Receptor Blocker and Neprilysin Inhibitor – Combination Of Sacubetril and Valsartan “ for Heart Failure with reduced ejection fraction Dr Aziz Khan MD DM senior Cardiologist and Dr Dipti Chand, MD senior Physician were chairpersons.
This was followed up by Joint Executive Committee Meeting. CME was attended by 50 members of our association.
