Noted industrialist and chairman emeritus of Tata Group Ratan Tata on Wednesday visited Nagpur. During this visit he also met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at the organisation’s headquarters here.
Sangh sources said the meeting was a courtesy call from Ratan Tata. Both Tata and Bhagwat had a closed door meeting. However, it was unknown what actually transpired behind the doors. According to RSS it was courtesy call there was no major issues that were discussed.
Tata arrived in Nagpur on Tuesday and left the city on Wednesday after meeting the RSS chief.
This was Tata’s second visit to the RSS HQ. He had earlier visited the RSS head quarters at Reshimbagh on December 28, 2016.
In August last year, Tata shared the dais with Mohan Bhagwat at an event in Mumbai to mark the birth centenary of late RSS leader Nana Palkar.
Tata was the chief guest at the event.
In his speech then, Bhagwat had lauded the Tata Group, saying its focus has always been on the use of wealth for betterment of society and not on creation of personal wealth.
