Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA) has organized a day long training on Women leadership for the Women’s works on the issue of Housing and Basic services for Urban Poor. Training was held at at Press (patrakar) Club of Nagpur on Friday, 19th April, 2019.
This workshop was guided by social worker Urmilla Badge, President of Krantikari Mahila Cooperative Society of Shanti Nagar, Ahilya Nagdive and Nitin Meshram from Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA). All first women empowerment is essential for the progress of society. Urmila Badge expresses this idea that women can give direction to society and are ready to work and lead. She also spoke about the fact that the women themselves have developed from the cooperative movement. Nitin Meshram conveyed the different aspects of Leadership.
In the Workshop, Sheela Sapkal, Chaya Uike, Shamim Shaikh, Nisha Velde, Smita Rangari kept the views. This workshop was attended by Usha Jambhulkar, Priyanka Deshpande, Mrinali Bhasare, Sujata Borkar, Pushpa Sakhare, Vandana Thakre and others. Proceedings of the program were done by Nitin Meshram while vote of thanks was proposed by Shailendra Wasnik. A large number of women’s from slum dwellers were present.
