Amravati defeated Nagpur to emerge winners in the selection tournament for the 17-member Vidarbha team which would play the state tournament. The tournament was organised by Cricket Association for the Blind of Maharashtra (CABM) and they were helped by by VNIT, Atmadeep Society and Vidarbha Cricket Association.
For Amravati Belsare scored an unbeaten 31 runs, in company of Nilesh Narnaware (31), as they defeated Nagpur by nine wickets in the final at VNIT ground.
 After restricting Nagpur to just 87 for 7 in 10 overs, Amravati achieved the target in 7 overs scoring 88 for the loss of 2 wickets. For Nagpur, Yogesh Gaikwad (17) and Sanjay Ghorpade (22) made useful contributions. Akshay Choudhary, Pravin Kalukhe and Belsare jointly received man of the series award.
Belsare was adjudged the man of the final. Mayor Nanda Jichkar was the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony. Corporator Sanjay Bangale, Sunil Hiranwar, VNIT director Dilip Peshwe and CABM officials including president Ravi Wagh and secretary Ramakant Satam were also present.
