International sea swimmer Sukhdeo Dhurve, attached with city police, will participate in an unique sea expedition from Elephant to Gateway of India with family members including wife, son and daughter on April 28 (Sunday).
Addressing media persons Dhurve informed that the 16-kilometre expedition with start at 7 a.m from Elephanta and is expected to be completed within three hours at gateway of India in Mumbai . He said the expedition will be completed through relay and his wife Vaishali, son Sarthak and nine-year-old daughter Tanvi will give him company to complete the expedition. Dhurve has also claimed that so far no family in Asia has attempted such expedition.
Speaking about expedition Dhurve said during an expedition he will be accompanied by observer of Maharashtra Swimming association Dr Nilesh Pande in one boat and Kunal Kohali and Pritam Kohali in another safety board. Siddhi Tapase will be the pace swimmer.
Dhurve said Wamanrao Dive charitable Trust, Mihir Sen Swimming and Adventure Sporting Club, Nagpur City Police, Victorius Swimming Sorting Club, Dolphin, Swimming Club, Kamgar Kalyan Swimming Pool authorities are helping him to complete the expedition successfully.
