Aman tops in JEE Main in Nagpur div, Ishan bag 2nd place, Chinmay third
The National Test Agency (NTA) on Monday night announced results of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main conducted for admissions to Indian Institute Technology (IIT) across the country. As per information available, Aman Gupta emerged topper from Nagpur division with All India Ranking of 118. Ishan Jain and Chinmay Rantnaparkhi remained on second and third place with AIR 120 and 197 respectively.
Atharva Warhade who bagged AIR 245 remained on fourth place. He was at 27th place in the country in OBC category.
According to experts the overall result this year was not satisfactory as number of students who qualified for JEE Advance was quite less.
New examination pattern and tough questions were attributed as the reasons for drop in overall qualification.
This year nearly 300 students qualified for JEE Advance. The JEE Main was conducted on April 8. Over 27,000 students had appeared in the exam from Nagpur division of which 12000 were from Nagpur district alone.
