Amrut Bhadade. Barely 33 years old. Today the status reads -SHAHID. Like any youngster, he had a dream too. But his dream was not limited to himself. A farmers son from near Mouda in Nagpur district, Amrut wanted to do something for the country also. He worked hard for it, training himself physically and mentally. Finally, he realised his dream when he could join the Maharashtra police force.
Others are unhappy when they are posted in a difficult station like Gadchiroli. But not Amrut. His wife Madhavi, 16 month old daughter Kaasvi were his joy. Kasvi’s first birthday celebrated with simplicity brought him priceless pleasure.
Little did this loving father, husband, son and brother know that when as part of the QRT he left Kurkheda on Wednesday, it was to never return. Blown to smithereens in an IED blast by naxals, Kasvis first birthday was the only birthday he would ever attend. Yet his.family which has an uncle in the army and another brother in the police say they are proud of him.
As we mourn his death, Live Nagpur salutes the brave martyr.
