The Japanese Garden and Balodyan is a natural beautiful reserved forest in Seminary Hills in Nagpur city. This garden has an important role in making Nagpur city pollution-free and providing pure oxygen. Forest department has taken important decisions in maintaining natural beauty and protecting facilities at both these places through people’s participation.
As part of this a civil joint management committee for Seminary Hills has been formed by Nagpur forest division and as per decision to decide people’s participation in this area, entry fees have been finalised with effective from May 1, 2019.
The entry fee for Japanese Garden and Balodyan are under 5 year -free entry, 5 to 12 years – `5, Above 12 years – `12, excursion of students organised by school – `5 per student, monthly pass – `100, six month pass – `500 and annual pass `800. The charges for mini train Vanbala have also been finalised. These are under 3 years -free, 3 to 12 years (per round) – `15 and above 12 years (per round) – `30.
The revenue generated from these sources will be spent on protection, conservation and civil facilities, according to information provided by deputy conservator of forest of Nagpur forest division.
