South Central Zone Cultural Center, Nagpur, had organised a cultural programme “Maharashtra Dindi” to celebrate Maharashtra Day recently at SCZCC, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
Kala Academy award winner, Vinod Indurkar and senior theatrical Producer/Director, Sanjay Pendse were the chief guests of the event. The function was inaugurated by lighting the auspicious lamp by the hands of the dignitaries.
The trail of important turn-ups from the 12th century to the 21st century was realized through this program. Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Raje Shahaji and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s social reform, education, work for pedestrians, organizer Vasudev Balwant Phadke, inspirational ideas of revolutionary Vinayak Damodar Savarkar etc. were performed with theater play.
Abhishek Bellarwar’s play and the dance chunks of Shrikant Dhabdgaonkar have a very subtle and effective presentation. Famous singer-artist Gunvant Kadvai, Sarangi Joshi, Sonali Dixit, and Sally Kulkarni-Maste’s singing got the best accompaniment with Parimal Joshi, Amar Shande, Gaurav Tanksale, Moreshwar Dahhastra, Ashok Doke, Akshay Harley and Vikram Joshi. Praful Mategaonkar presented journey of these leaders in a beautiful manner.
The inspiration for Baba Amte’s work, and also Prakash Amte’s thoughts on the screen, was realized as an important stage of this program. The program was compiled by the famous playwright, producer, writer, director and actor Salim Sheikh in Nagpur. The music combination Anand Mastay had technical support from Vinay Modak.
Programme Officer, SCZCC, Deepak Kulkarni, expressing his happiness on Maharashtra Day, he praised the artists for an outstanding program, “Maharashtra Dindi”. The program, which was conceived and conceptualized by Prabhu Mategaonkar, in the field of music and theatrical industry in Nagpur, was started by the beautiful Poetry of Marathi.
The audience was mesmerized by the excellent performances of the artists at “Maharashtra Dindi” programme.
On this occasion, SCZCC, Nagpur Program Officer, Deepak Kulkarni, Premswaroop Tiwari, Gopal Betawar, Shashank Dande, Program Committee Member, Kunal Gadekar were prominently present at the event.
