A grand Shobhayatra has been organised on May 5 to mark Parshuram Janmotsav the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu by the Parshuram Sarva Bhasiya Bhrahman Sangh.
On the occasion, the devotees of lord Parshuram will celebrate the day with great enthusiasm and fervor. Â Various programmes have been oganised by the devotees on May 5 followed by a grand procession at 5 pm.
This year the theme of the Shobhayatra is ‘Patriotism for prosperity’. A special decorated chariot sponsored by Vipra foundation is said to be the main attraction of the procession. It will carry a huge idol of Bhagwan Parshuram.
Other eye catching activities during the procession includes 15 different floats on various religious events, a demonstration based on the warfare techniques from the period of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be performed by youths of late Chimasaheb Bhosale, Hanuman Vyayam Shala and Lokmanya Sanskrutik Krida Mandal.
Gujarayi Brahma Samaj, Yuva Mandal and Mahila Mandal will present Raas Garba. Shyamsunder Sharma, Vinod Purohit, Archana Bharagava, Jagdamba Dham Bokhara will sing bhajans.
The procession will start after pujan of Chariot which will be performed by Mayor Nanda Jhichkar, Kanchan Gadkari., Anil Ganu, MLC Girish Vyas, Mahendra Sharma and others.
The Shobhayatra will begin from Renuka mata Mandir through Yashodha Nagar. It will pass from Hingna road, SBI colony, Priyadarshani Hostel, T Point, Jog Hospital, Mangalmurti Square, Trimurti Nagar Square, Nagoba Mandir, Padole Square, Swalambi Nagar Square, Bhende Layout, Bhamti Shiv Mandir, Pratap Nagar, Police Station, NIT Groung, MIG Colony, Hanuman Mandir, Jaitala Square, Trisharan Colony and will conclude at Renuka Mata Mandir.
General Secretary (Sangh) Trilokinath Sidhra said that the main aim to organise Shobhayatra is to spread message of  Bhagwan Parshuram to entire community.
