‘Suhani raat dhal chuki’, ‘Wo jab yaad aaye’, ‘Madhuban me radhika naache re’ and more such songs kept the music lovers of Nagpur glued to their seats, in a programme organised by Kaladalan, Nagpur, ‘Suramayee Sham part-3’.
This programme was organised recently on Monday at Scientific society Hall, Laxmi Nagar. The event was conceptualised by Madhavi Pande and organised by Balasaheb Gajbhiye.
Vijay Pande, Nite Kehalkar, Savitru Pophali, Jayashree Luley, Chetan Elkunchwar, Parineeta Maturkar, T Balkrishna, Jaya Dhabekar, Sama Solav, Mangesh Pawar, Shrikant Sapre and Dipali Sapre made the audience nostalgic through their performances.
Eminent singer Sagar Madhumatke, also known as the Kishore Kumar of Vidarbha was present during the event.
The event began with ‘Aaj ki raat mere’ by Shrikant followed by ‘Suhani raat’ by Mangesh, ‘Wo jab yaad aaye’ by Savitru, ‘Saaj ho tum’ by Vijay Pande. The singers made sure that melodious songs kept coming in front of the audience.
Sama Solav presented the evergreen song, ‘Kahin deep jale kahin dil’. Nita presented the song, ‘Ye mulaqat ek’ while Parineeta presented, ‘Aur iss dil mein’ with poise.
Later Marathi songs such as, ‘Rang Bawarya’, ‘Yed Lagla’ enthralled audience.
More songs like, ‘Jaa Jalima’, ‘Pyar kiya toh’, ‘Raat ke humsafar’, ‘Yaad me teri’, ‘Aaja re aa’, ‘Main kahi kavi na ban jaao’, entertained the music lovers.
Dr Manoj Salpekar conducted the programme while, the music was taken care of by, Nandu Gohane.
Kaladalan has been established with a motive to promote the culture of arts and music in Vidarbha along with Mumbai and Pune. Also the organisation awards scholarships to the outstanding musicians and singers.
Sagar Madhumatke, Ajeet Parse, Vijay Jathe and Rajesh Rokade were feted during the programme.
