Mahavitaran is the second largest company in the world of power distribution companies. More than two-and-a-half crore people in the state are the consumers of the company. The MSEDCL is continuously increasing the use of state-of-the-art technology to fulfill the growing expectations of consumers and in this growing scenario the public relations department and the media plays a very important role, informed PR Officer P S Patil.
He was speaking on the occasion of the concluding three-day training camp organized by the Nashik-based and newly established Power Management and Training Institute for the officers working in the public relations department of MSEDCL. Training center engineer Anil Nagare, Devendra Sainekar and coordinator Sushma Savarkar were present at the ceremony.
Patil said that under the leadership of MSEDCL, Chairman and Managing Director, Sanjeev Kumar, the work was successfully completed for the customers and employees through mobile app (APP), web portal and online, internal computerization, dashboard etc. The media is an effective communication tool for the public relations department working as a link between company management and the customer.
Being aware of the growing expectations of customers, some of the features of the app were upgraded which makes the app more user friendly. The public relations department is ready with customer service with necessary changes. Patil mentioned that the management is also positive for this department to be more efficient and effective.
