Nagpur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abhijeet Bangar took a review meeting on May 10 regarding the ongoing river cleanliness drive in the city.
The cleaning of the three main rivers of the city namely, Naag River, Pavali River and Pili River started from May 5. The NMC Commissioner, in the review meeting, discussed the progress report of the cleaning campaign that has been completed so far.
He instructed all the concerned officials heading the campaign to carry the cleaning campaign smoothly. He also urged the citizens to corporate with the workers.
According to the information given by the concerned officials, cleanliness work has started in the all the ten zones under Nag river, Pavali river and Pora river.
Additional Commissioner of Police Ram Joshi, Additional commissioner Aziz Shaikh, Superintendent Engineer Manoj Talevar, Dr. Pradeep Dasarwar, Health Officer (Cleanliness) Sunil Kamble, Executive Engineer Moti Kukreja, Satish Nerol, Amin Akhtar, Rajendra Rahate, Assistant Commissioner Prakash Varadhe, Founder of Green Vigil Foundation, Kaushabh Chatterjee, Public Works Department, Nagpur Metro and River Sanitation Campaign Officers were prominently present at the meeting.
