Summers are getting tough year by year and the city is witnessing temperature heights and its getting difficult for the Nagpurians to beat the scorching heat. Especially, for the two wheeler commuters who have to travel in the blazing sun.
Nagpur is one of the hottest places in India which recorded one of the highest temperatures last year 48 degree Celsius. This year too, the city has already recorded soaring temperatures of 44 degree Celsius.
The Traffic Authorities have recently come up with a unique solution to give relief to the commuters who fight their extreme urge to break the signals and reach their destinations at their earliest to escape the heat.
Green shades or Tarpaulin covers have been installed above the signals to provide temporary relief to the commuters in the sweltering heat of Nagpur. It looks like a temporary solution but one that definitely works with an additional benefit. Now instead of jumping the signal people seem to be following traffic rules, while they take shelter under the shade.
It’s a welcome move which not only shows that the corporations of the city care for its residents but also is an excellent idea to prevent the commuters from violating the traffic rules.
