On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Dikshabhoomi Samarak Committee in collusion with Prayas Social Foundation had organised a Dhammagyan Quiz Competition, at Dikshabhoomi ground on Saturday. The competition was based on the book ‘Buddha and his Dhamma’
Aamir Khandekar stood victorious at first position and received a laptop and book sets, Saurabh Kochi won second position and was felicitated with a Tablet and a book set whereas third position was bagged by Anilkumar Meshram who won a smart phone and book set.
All the participants in the competition were awarded with participation certificates. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Commemorative Committee member Vilas Godghate, Sudhir Fulzele, N. R. Sute, famous neurologist Dr. Sanjay Ramteke and President of Prayas Social Foundation Shrikant Dongre were present on the dais.
Around 1500 contestants had participated enthusiastically in the competition. The competition was organized by the concept and guidance of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Smarak Committee President Bhante Nagarjun Surei Sasai.
Competition had been organized in Hindi and English medium and there were 50 objective types 50 theory question. The participants were given an hours time for the 100 marks test.
Social Foundation activists Avinash Gajbhia, Satish Dhargaave, Sachin Bodele, Vikrant Gajbhia, Dinesh Fulzele, Lankesh Wankhede, Subhash Ganavir, Swapnil Khandekar, Sachin Bodhankar, Paresh Gajbhai, Virendra Mandapay, Sanjay Kamble, Vihank Shende, Vinay Bhatia, Point Kapsa, Parag Gosavi and others collaborated.
While addressing the students, Principal of Dr. Babasaheb Smarak Samiti, Dr. Arya Nagarjuna Surai Sasai, said that, “The Dhamma of Lord Gautama Buddha is the philosophy of life. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar accepted and accepted Dhamma after the deep study. Today the world needs Buddha everywhere. Therefore, the thoughts and precepts of the Tathagat Buddhists are necessary for the development of world peace. For this purpose, the code of conduct of Dhamma should be properly followed.â€
He further added, “Need to know the philosophy of Buddha in younger communities in the society, to become his behavior in his life, today there is a need to know ‘Buddha and his Dhamma’â€.
