BJP stalwart and incumbent Union Minister for Transport and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari has thanked the voters of Nagpur for re-electing him for the second term from Nagpur Lok Sabha Constituency. Though the final results are yet to be declared, Gadkari was all set to emerge victorious with huge margin as at the end of eighth round Gadkari was leading by 86,778 votes and still 12 rounds to go, total 19 rounds.
A large number of party leaders and workers had assembled at his “Bhakti†residence in Ramnagar in Western part of city. Among the prominent were former Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti, Uday Bhaskar Nair and others. Workers raised slogans +Nitin ji aage bado+ (Nitin Gadkari go ahead) and danced to the tune of local musical group. Later he flew to New Delhi to meet the party central leadership including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah.
