KNCC defeated BES Academy by two wickets to lift Waghulkar Memorial Inter-Club Cricket Tournament jointly organised by Vidarbha Gymkhana and Karnewar Cricket Organising Committee at Dinanath ground here on Sunday.
BES scored 114 for 6 in 20 overs with Wansh Agrawal scoring highest 38. Aniruddha Tapas (28) and Rishi Tamaskar (25) were other scorers. For KNCC, Yash Gulhane (2 for 35) and Atharva Jojare (2 for 31) were the main wicket takers. In reply, KNCC achieved the target losing eight wickets in 18.5 overs. Thanks, to Prathmesh Borkar who played the match winning knock of 33 hitting four boundaries. Arnav Bhujwa (18) and Ashish Deshmukh (17) too played an important role in the victory. For BES, Om Gugalmare claimed three wickets for 29 runs whereas  Adhiraj Jaiswla and Vinayak Mahure were chipped in with two each.
