“Hypertension is silent killer, underdiagnosed and under treated and poor compliance causes Heart disease and sudden cardiac arrest.†Experts Association of Physicians of India, Vidarbha Chapter (API VC) had organized a symposium on “Hypertension In Perspective Of Cardiology†on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Hotel Centre Point Ramdaspeth, Nagpur.
At the outset President Dr. Shankar Khobragade, made opening welcome speech and underlined the topics for the discussion in view of rising detected and undiagnosed cases of Hypertension in the society at large. Few clinical cases were presented by PG Students. Dr. Shilpa Kuthe and Dr. Tanuja Manohar chaired the session.
In the first session Dr. S. D. Suryawanshi, MD (Med), MNAMS presented an unusual clinical case. Dr. R.B. Kalamkar and Dr. Pravin Nitnavare chaired the session. Second lecture was delivered by Dr. Ram Ghodeswar, MD, DM (Cardio) on “Post Myocardial Infarction Mechanical Complication, Diagnosis and Management. Dr. Manohar Sarda and Dr Ramesh Mundle were the chairpersons for the session. Dr.Irshad Pathan MD DM (Cardio) presented interesting Echo findings. D. S. J. Acharya and Dr Ravi Waghmare chaired the talk. Dr. Shankar Khobragade, MD (Medicine, MBA, M, Phil) deliberated on “Triple Drug Therapy in Hypertensionâ€.
It was presided over by Dr. Santosh Mishra and Dr. Suhas Kanphade. Dr. Shivnarayan Acharya, MD, DNB (Nephrology) spoke on timing of angiography in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Dr. Bhaurao Nakhale and Dr.Vivek Bhalerao were the chairpersons for the session Dr. Aamol Meshram Hon. Secretary, API VC, proposed the vote of Thanks. The symposium was largely attended by Members and PG students.
