According to sources, flight no. G8 2520 took off from Nagpur airport on its scheduled time for New Delhi at 9.30 pm.
However, soon after the take off it developed some technical snag, following its pilot it landed back in Nagpur, leaving all the passengers stranded for an hour. It is learnt that the flight landed in Nagpur at around 10.30 pm. When the technical snag occurred it was just 20 minutes away from New Delhi. However, due to some technical reasons, the pilot of the flight G8 2520 decided to return to Nagpur. Â The GoAir Airlines has not yet provided details of the snag which caused emergency landing of the flight. All the passengers were sent to New Delhi on an alternate flight.
Luckily for them, another GoAir flight, which flies between Nagpur and Bengaluru was available at Nagpur airport when the Delhi bound flight landed. The Bengaluru flight was parked in Nagpur at night. GoAir converted this flight into G8 2520 and all the passengers were sent to New Delhi on this aircraft. Sources said, the authorities concerned were busy in maintenance of the aircraft till filing of this news at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. After its maintenance, this aircraft would take off for Bengaluru on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, it was alleged that the airlines did not provide food or refreshment to the passengers who were left stranded at the Nagpur Airport for nearly an hour. This caused resentment among them.
