Flights between Nagpur and New Delhi may get affected today because of the huge rush of passengers, in particular the VVIPs who would be heading towards the national capital for the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Cabinet.
Several charter flights too would be landing at New Delhi airport, hence increasing the air traffic manifold. Considering this, airlines have already issued directives to their passengers to check the status of their flight before leaving for airport.
The passengers who will be travelling to New Delhi in the morning and returning to Nagpur in the evening have been specifically asked to check the flight status and be in touch with the local airport to remain updated about their flight.
Passengers who are scheduled to board flight from New Delhi are advised to leave home at least three hours before the boarding time as vehicular traffic is most likely to remain affected because of VVIP vehicles and their convoy.
It is pertinent to note here that Narendra Modi will be taking oath as the Prime Minister of India on Thursday at 7 pm. This will be his second term as PM. Cabinet ministers too will be taking oath along with Modi. Among the special invitees include several VVIPs from India and abroad.
