Nagpur district girls won gold medal whereas boys bagged bronze medal in the 23rd Junior Maharashtra State Sepaktakraw Championship held at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Mahavidyalaya Amravati. The Championship was organised by Amravati District Sepaktakraw Association under the banner of Maharashtra Sepaktakraw Association.
The girls team entered quarterfinal round by defeating Bhandara  21-16, 21-12, Janla 21-09 , 21-12 , Raigad 21-10, 21-14, Gondia 21-12 , 21-12 and Buldhana Districts 21-14 -21-18. In the boys section, they entered quater- final round by defeating Ahamed Nagar 21-15, 21-18, Raigad 21- 11, 21-14, Buldhana 25-24, 21-09, Dhule 21-21-15, 21-15 and dist Amravati 21-11, 21-14.
In the quarter-final round, Nagpur girls defeated Latur in straight sets 21-13 & 21-15 and in the semi-final they defeated Nashik 21-15 & 21-12 and marched into the final round. In the final they overcame Nanded 21-14, 21-19.
In the boys section, Nagpur beat Gondia 21-11, 21-13 in the quarter final and  in the semi final they lost  to Wardha  18-21, 21-15, 19-21 and declared as joint third position winner with Satara district.
The successful players have been congratulated by president Prafull Gardge, general secretary Dr. Sukdev Biswas, Dr. YV Pandey, Dr. D C Wankhede, Dr. Ramesh Mandal, Â Jayant Jigkar, Dr. Amit Kanwar, Javed Rana. Ajay Kanajiya and others sports lovers.
Winning girls team includde Sonal Dhadse (Captain), Anjali Mourya, Annie Anthony, Nikita Shende, Avantika Lokhande, Chetna Rongala, Mahek Sheikh, Sneha Uikey, Vedika Mourya, Avantika Baghel Vaishnavi Shukla and Isha Kale, Kunal Evanate (Coach), and Divya Sharma (Manager).
