South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) and Hanuman Sewa Mandal, Somalwada are jointly organizing ‘Brass Band Contest’ at Shri Ram Hunaman Mandir, Shri Ram Nagar, Somalawada, Wardharoad at 6 pm on June 3.
While interacting with the media, SCZCC Director DR. Deepak Khirwadkar informed that many team of different Brass Band player have been invited to participate in the contest.
A Brass band is a combination of various brass instruments. The ensemble includes brass a woodwind instruments. SCZCC has decided to encourage this act and honour the artists working hard in this field.
SCZCC is expecting 14 to 15 entries from the parties for this contest. Each participating group is expected to play at least two songs of 4 minute each one being a patriotic song.
The first winner of the contest will get a cash prize of rupees 41,000 while the 1st runner up will get 31, 000. The 3rd prize will be shared by two contestants and two consolation prizes will also be given to the participants, informed Dr Khirwadkar.
Deputy Director of SCZCC, Mohan Parkhi , Progarmme Officer, Gopal Betawar, Shashank Dande, Deepak Patila and other were also present at the press conference.
