A 19-year-old member of ground staff of GoAir committed suicide on Thursday owing to alleged mental torture by seniors.
Manthan Mahendra Chavan, resident of Chandramani Nagar committed suicide by hanging himself from an iron rod of ventilator at his residence.
Manthan’s father works with a private hospital and his mother is a city police official both have alleged that he was being harassed by his seniors and forced to report to work place despite sickness.
Following the complaint of Manthan’s parents Ajni police have registered a case and started the investigation.
Kalamna: Woman robbed of valuables worth Rs 73, 000 in autoÂ
Kalamna police have rounded up some miscreants for allegedly robbing a 58-year-old woman of valuables to the tune of Rs 73,000 while traveling in an auto on Thursday afternoon.
According to police sources, Kusum Sevakram Bawne, a resident of Ramtek along with her son had visited the city for marriage function on Thursday. The complainant and her son boardedan auto in Kalamna area at around 2:30 pm for going to Manewada. However, in between do con-women averted complainant’s attention and robbed her of cash and gold ornaments collectively of Rs 73,000.
Cops have registered a case under section 379, 34 of IPC and searching for accused women.
Booty stolen from taxi at airportÂ
Sonegaon police have booked some unidentified miscreants reportedly for stealing cash, electronic gadgets from a dicky of a taxi parked at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport on Tuesday morning. Complaint has been lodged on Friday.
According to police sources, Lalit Motiram Patil (37), a resident of Untkhana boarded a taxi from parking slot no. 3 at the airport around 9:30 pm on May 28. Lalit had kept his luggage in the dicky of the taxi. When he reached home, he was taken aback by a shock when he found some important documents besides mobile phones, cash Rs 50,000 were missing.
Cops have registered a case under section 379 of IPC and investigating further.
Travel bus knocks youth dead in Koradi
A recklessly driven travel bus on Thursday night knocked a 21-year-old youth dead when he was returning home. Fearing public wrath, the accused driver had fled the spot reported cops.
According to police sources, Bablu Bhagirath Mohadik was driving home on his pulser bike. At around 7:30 pm when he reached Koradi check post on Nagpur-Saoner road, a private bus dashed his bike from behind. Following which Bablu sustained severe injuries and died at the spot.
Cops have booked accused driver under relevant sections of IPC and investigating further.
