Sakkardara police have rounded up some antisocial elements for breaking into a house and stealing booty worth Rs 1.13 lakh on Sunday.
According to police sources, a 40-year-old Aasha Vijay Marbate, a resident of Raghuji Nagar on Sunday went to attend a family function in Dighori area between 11am and 5pm.
In the meantime some unidentified burglars sneaked inside her house by breaking the latch of the main door and decamped with cash Rs 1, 00,000 besides gold ornaments to the tune of Rs 1,13,248. The burglary came to fore when complainant returned home, only to find her home in ransacked state.
Based on the complaint lodged by Aasha, Sakkardara police have registered an offence under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and started the probe.
Burglary in Koradi, booty worth Rs 1.88 lakh stolen
Some miscreants had barged inside a locked house under the jurisdiction of Koradi police and decamped with valuables to the tune of Rs 1.88 lakh between May 25 and June 2 this year.
According to police sources, accompanied by his family complainant Dharmendra Singh Ramlal Singh Yadav (40), a resident of New Panjra, Near Bhange Public School under had gone to Banaras for a family gathering between May 25 and June 2 this year.
However, in the meantime some unidentified miscreants broke inside his house and fled with gold ornaments and cash to the tune of Rs 1.88 lakh.
The burglary came to fore on Sunday afternoon, following which Yadav rushed to Koradi police station and filed a complaint.
Based on the complaint lodged by Yadav, cops have booked unidentified miscreants under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and started the investigation.
Traffic cops seize 9 trucks involved in illegal transportation of sand
Traffic police on Sunday seized nine trucks used for illegal transportation of sand and arrested nine persons in this connection.
The special drive was launched on Sunday morning across the city. Seven trucks were seized from Dighori Chowk area while two trucks were seized from Vihirgaon area.
Arrested truck drivers are identified as Tularam Gorelal Bhatra (33), a resident of Khadgaon, Kalmeshwar; Sukhdev Narayan Masram (38), a resident of Gittikhadan; Sayyad Rashid Ali (31), a resident of Bada Tajbagh; Sheikh Siraj Sheikh Rahemtulla (44), a resident of Plot No. 17, Gousiya Colony, Ring Road, Dighori; Maheshkumar Manulal Pancheshwar (50), a resident of Bahadura Fata; Habib Jamal Ansari (29), a resident of Bajaj Nagar; Hussain Naimuddin Sabjifaroj (23), a resident of Shivshankar Nagar; Maroti Tukaram Dudhankar (28), a resident of Dongargaon and Umesh Suresh Dhok (26), a resident of Chimnajhari vilage, Umred.
The police have seized material collectively worth Rs 81 lakh during the drive.
