The Live Nagpur has launched a campaign against the malpractices of private coaching centres, which take exorbitant fees and also mislead the students putting their future at stake. After education department, pro-students bodies too have swung into action taking heed to The Live Nagpur stories. On Monday a delegation of two major students’ associations came out openly against the ill-practices of coaching centres.
Nationalist Student Congress, the students’ wing of Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party and Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Monday handed over memorandum to district collector and officials concerned of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) over the issue and demanded intervention to curb the practice of coaching centres.
The Nationalist Student Congress has demanded action against the coaching centres taking high fee from the students. District (city) unit president of Nationalist Student Congress Shailendera Tiwari said strict be taken action such coaching centres.
ABVP Mahanagar joint secretary Amit Patle led the delegation and demanded action against coaching institutes.
