A Hinganghat based woman was relieved of her gold chain at Ganeshpeth bus-stop by three bike-born miscreants on Friday evening. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Ganeshpeth police.
Ganeshpeth police have registered a case under Section 392, 34 of the IPC.
According to police sources, Jyotsna Milind Bhagat, a resident of Vir Bhagatsingh Ward, Hinganghat reached the city on Friday evening for shopping purposes.
At around 5 pm, when Jyotsna was crossing the inner gate of the Ganeshpeth bus-stop, three unidentified youth boarded on a bike approached her. They snatched away her gold chain worth Rs 16,000 before she could raise an alarm.
Youth ends life by hanging in Ambazari
A 25-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself from a roof top at his Ambazari Tekdi based resident on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified Palash Aanad Zodape, a resident of Ambazari Tekdi, Verma Lay-out.
According to police sources, it could not be ascertained as to what led Palash to take the extreme step. Meanwhile, the cops have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating further.
Complainant Aanad Zodape (27) deceased’s brother saw his younger one hanging to a roof stick alerted the Ambazari cops. On getting information, cops rushed to the spot, brought down the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Old man dies, after falling from off under construction slab in Besa
An old man died on the spot after falling from the slab of his under-construction house in Beltarodi area on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Madhukar Yadavraoji Thakre (85) was a resident of Rewti Nagar, Besa.
According to police sources, the deceased was sleeping on the slab of his under-construction house. He woke up to attend the nature’s call. Suddenly, he lost balance and fell off the slab. With serious injuries, Thakre was rushed to Government Medical College & Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
 Youth booked for sexually exploiting girl in Mankapur Â
Mankapur police rounded-up a youth for allegedly sexually exploiting a girl by promising to marry her between December 2017 and June 4, 2019.
Cops have booked accused Umesh Arun Tiwari (22) is a resident of Bajrang Chowk, Surendragad, Seminary Hills in this connection.
According to police, he 22-year-old victim had an affair with Umesh since college days. By promising to tie the nuptial knot, he took her to a flat at Gulmohar Tower, Zingabai Tower, Godhni Road and established physical relationship against her wishes.
He also took her to Sharma Lodge, behind railway station in Lucknow (UP) and again sexually exploited her. When she insisted for marriage, he refused to tie the nuptial knot and abused her using casteist remarks.
On the basis of the complaint, police registered an offence under Sections 376, 376 (2), (n) of the IPC.
Valuables worth Rs 1.45 lakh stolen in housebreaking in Jaripatka
Jaripatka police have booked some unidentified miscreants who reportedly barged inside a house in Aman Vihar locality on Kamptee road and decamped with 10 watches, cash, gold ornaments to the tune of Rs 1.45 lakh between June 3 and 7 this year.
According to police sources, Lakhbharsingh Sohansingh Sohal (56), a resident of H.B./1, Amar Vihar, Kamptee road, look after the house which originally belonged to his brother-in-law Indrajeetsingh Charansingh Kalsi, a native of Dubai.
In his complaint Sohal told cops that between 9 pm of June 3 and 12.30 pm of June 7, some burglars sneaked inside the locked house and swept away good worth Rs 1.45 lakh.
Based on the complaint lodged by Sohal, Jaripatka police have registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC and started the probe.
