Nagpur Amateur Sports Association (NASA)Â and Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM)Â Â girls posted easy victories over their opponents in Invitation Basketball Tournament organised by Navyuvak Krida Mandal at Chandan Nagar, here on Friday.
In a one-sided encounter, Nagpur Amateur Sports Association (NASA) drubbed Pande Layout Sporting Club (PLSC) 24-5. Sanvi Tambe scored maximum nine points for NASA. For PLSC, Kalyani Kolarkar scored four.
Title favourite DKM outplayed PBG 24-6. They dominated the proceedings right from the word go. Experienced Dhara Phate top scored with eight baskets. She was well supported by Avani Banthiya (4). For the losing side, Vidita Chandak scored four points.
In the boy’s section, Centre Point School recorded an easy 55-14 win over host NKM ‘B’. The quarterwise score was 22-2, 11-6, 8-6, 14-0. Shiv Singh Sidhu (11) and Gaurav Khadia (8) fashioned CPS win. For NKM, Dishant Bhange scored six points.
However, NKM ‘A’ succeeded in recording 49-10 victory over ESKM. Thanks to Himanshu Shende who single-handedly scored 21 points for the winner.s
