Even today, most of the people, young and old alike prefer listening to the old and meaningful songs. In a recent attempt yo put forth the magic of old evergreen songs, HSS Musical group organised, ‘Ek woh bhi daur tha, ek yeh bhie daur hai’ recently at Scientific Hall.
Artistes made sure that they did justice to the songs from 70s to 90s era. Swaminathan aiyer, Sarika Thatte, Isbabul Hasan, Anjali Thakre, Sandeep Chaudhari, Rachana Punjabi, Dhiraj Aate and Saumya Aiyer presented various melodious songs reviving the old times.
The programme began with one of the most celebrated songs, ‘Aajkal paav jameen par’, by Rachana. Hasan and Sarika performed a duet, ‘Humko hami se’. Other oldies performed during the event were, ‘Muze raat din’, ‘Chandan sa badan’, ‘Paan khaye saiyya’, ‘Jaana pehchana’ and many such feet tapping songs. The event concluded with the song, ‘Zindagi milke’.
The accompanying artistes were, Pankaj Yadav on Tabla, Ashok Tokelwar on Dholak, Subhash Wankhede on Octapad, Deepak Kamble on Congo, Manoj Chiragle on Guitar and Arvind Upadhyay on Flute. Sound management was done by Rajesh Ameen, stage decor was handled by Abhishek Lilhaure and lights were handled by Mithun Mitra.
