Navniketan Club recorded four wicket victory over MSSC inf Dr MN Doraiajan Memorial Inter-Club Cricket Tournament organised by Vidarbha Cricket Association at Ambedkar College ground, here on Sunday.
MSSC scored 375 all out in the first innings. Navniketan gave them an apt reply and scored 397. Thus, they took slight lead of 22 runs in the first innings.
In their second innings, resuming at 83 for 2, MSSC were all out for 175 in 40.3 overs. Overnight batsman Jitesh Sharma scored 72 hitting nine boundaries and one six. Soham Pathak (49, 8×4, 1×6) was unlucky to miss his half century. After the departure of these two overnight batsmen MSSC innings was folded immediately. For Navniketan Suniket Bingewar and Akshay Karnewar claimed three wickets each.
Navniketan scored the required 153 runs for an outright win in 43 overs losing six wickets in the process. Akshay Agrawal top scored with 50 in 111 balls hitting seven boundaries. Dharmendra Ahlawat (34), Tushar Gill (28 not out) were other scorers. For MSSC, Sooraj Rai and Sanket Subhedar captured three wickets each.
