Nagpur Cricket Academy (NCA) and Mujumdar Cricket Club (MCC) scripted easy victories over their opponents in Inter-Academy Under-23 Cricket Tournament organised by Reshimbgh Cricket Club at DD Nagar Vidyalaya ground, here on Friday.
In the first match, NCA overcame Sahah Cricket Academy by six wickets. Batting first Sahas scored 123 all out in 21.1 overs. Roshan Pisar missed the half century by just two wickets. Satvik Koli (12) Sarvesh Tokekar (20) were other scorers. For NCA, Himanshu Mulind, Manvirsingh Saini and Himanshu Deshkar claimed three wickets each. In reply, NCA chased the target in 22.3 overs losing just four wickets. Thanks to Mayur Bolawr who played an unbeaten 68 run knock hitting ten boundaries. Saini (31) and Vishal Gote (13 not out) ably supported him. For Sahas, Ajit Ingle and tokekar got two wickets each.
MCC drubbed Kaore Guruji Sports Institute (KGSI) by nine wickets. Batting first KGSI were all out for 93 in 13.3 overs. Owais Sheikh (17) and Varad Dalvi (16) were the main scorers. For MCC, Niraj Bobde claimed five wicket haul conceding 14 runs. Abhijit too bowled well and got 3 for 21. In reply, MCC achieved the target losing just one wicket in 11. 1overs.
Thanks to Smit Patel who played an unbeaten knock of 59 hitting 10 boundaries and one six. Aditya Ade remained not out on 16. Patel was declared man-of-the-match.
