Admissions through Common Entrance Test (CET) restarts today and will be next held on June 30. The students who have already completed the process will again have to upload the required documents, hence have to go through the whole process once again.
Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis involved himself, witnessing the tangled issue of admissions in engineering colleges, after which the process came to a halt. Even on the fourth day no admissions were confirmed through the process, because of which many parents and students underwent an intolerant suffering.
Many of the students were seen giving up on the admission process and many other attacked the staff at the admission center of Setu Suvidha Kendra.
The link from which the documents are supposed to be uploaded for the admission of first year engineering degree program, was seen lagging at some point, this situation was same until Tuesday. Even after the CM, on Wednesday the link somehow opened for few minutes and again became technically ill for uploading purposes. In this period of four days, not a single admission was taken and the situation of students and their parents was seen at its worst.
