To mark the International Music day, Rotary Club of Nagpur South organised a musical programme by a group of senior citizens who presented songs of Madan Mohan during the event.
former district governor Dr Prafull Mokadam and former President Mrinal Mokadam compered the event. The members of ‘Utsahi Soor’ enthralled the audience.
The programme started with ‘Ganesh Wandana’ sung by Prabha Ghule. Various compositions of Madan Mohan were performed during the show by city singers like Prakash Khot, Nilima Mohite, Dr Sheela Kulkarni, Uday Ladsawangikar, Dr Prafull Mokadam,Tribhuwan Meshram, Mrinal Mokadam, SudhirMeshram,KrishnaKapoor, Arun Nalage, Dr Mohan Subhedar and Dr Mohan Shanware.
The Musical instruments was played by Parimal Joshi (Synthesiser), Ashok Thaware (Octopad), Ramesh Uike (Tabla), Sudhir Meshram (Violin) and Arun Nalage (Harmonium).
Music Maestro Aqueel Ahmed, upcoming singer Ankita Takle, Ex Assistant Commissioner of Nagpur Corporation Ravindra Deotale, Anant Deo were some of the dignitaries present during the event. Club Secretary Vivek Garge proposed a vote of thanks.
