Raman Science Centre (RSC) every year organizes an exploration tour for the students from rural areas, where the science centre reaches out to the schools from the rural areas educating the students on science. The topics are quite out of the regular school syllabus but are made keeping a young in mind.
This year RSC will be launching two busses, one fully dedicated to Buldhana district and second for the Aspirational Districts, Washim and Gadchiroli. These two districts fall under the Aspirational District Programme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 5, 2018.
There are 101 districts selected by government which have under privilege children and are in a need for education. Out of all the selected districts Maharashtra has four districts in which Vidharbha has got two said districts.
Science on wheels is a 3-month program initiated by the National Council of Science (NCS). NCS has 25 science centre pan India, which includes Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, Vishvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM) Bangalore, Birla Industrial & Technological Museum (BITM) Kolkata and RSC, which falls on a regional level.
