Earlier this week, Nagpur Improvement Trust along with the officials of Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited had taken an action against the encroachers at a public place near Ambazari Road. The officials of NIT and Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited had continued the proceedings of the encroachment of Shriram Education Society at Amabazari on June 27 and 28 as well.
Shriram Education Society had done an illegal construction on 0.5 acres of land which is already authorised under Nagpur Metro Railway Limited.
Today was the fourth and the last day of the encroachment proceedings. Total of 5 JCBs and 3 tippers have been used along with 25 employees and 10 police personnel were deployed during the proceedings.
Divisional Officer (West) Mr. Avinash Badge, Assistant Engineer, Grade II, Pushpa Sahare, Architectural Assistant, Abhay Vasnik and Mahesh Daman, Mr. Manohar Patil were present.
