OrangeTales, a start up event organisation, will be organising an event for the LGBTQ community, called the Wear your Pride Carnival on the June 30 (Sunday) at Hislop College, at 4 pm.
The purpose of the event is to spread awareness about the community around the city. The history of the LGBTQ+ has had a very prominent effect on the world in the recent times, and the agenda of conducting this event is for the hidden population to the community and making them feel motivated to open themselves up and accept their identity.
Events like these are essentially defying stereotypes and challenging the world that sexuality is a fluid concept, and not just a binary term.
The aim is to make Nagpur a rainbow trend.
The rainbow flag is a symbol for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer+ pride. The flag consists of six colors, starting with red, followed by orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. The flag originated in San Francisco, USA but now, it is used worldwide.
Times have changed, adaptation is crucial.
