July 1, Doctors Day every year is a special occasion for doctors in India. This year the theme for Doctors’ Day is “Safety in hospitals is every one’s concern. Say No to violenceâ€. Indian Medical Association, Nagpur Branch is celebrating Doctor’s Day on July 1 at 4 pm at IMA Hall, North Ambazari Road, Nagpur.
On this day senior doctors of the city will be felicitated for their contribution in the medical as well as social field.  This year Dr. Sajal Mitra, Dr. Arun Amle, Dr. Nutan Deo, Dr. Ajay Keoliya, Dr.Jeevan Vedi, Dr.Amit Samarth, Dr. Kajal Mitra, Dr. Diwakar Bhoyar and Ranjankumar Sharma, (Supdt. Of Police, CID, Nagpur) Principal Correspondent from Maharashtra Times Anand Kasture and Madhubhau Barapatre, social worker will be felicitated at the hands of Chief Guest, Hon’ble Dr. Shivkumar Utture, President, Maharashtra Medical Council, Mumbai
Padmashree Dr. Ravindra Kolhe, social activists will be the Guest of Honour and Dr. Ashok Adhao will be Presiding Officer in the function.
IMA felicitates meritorious children of IMA members. All the members are requested to send information of their children securing meritorious position in 10th or 12th std. (State & CBSE), CET or Scholarship exam.  The children who excelled in extracurricular activities including cultural or sports activities will also be felicitated.
A blood donation camp will be organized on the morning of Doctors’ Day in collaboration with Abott, Head Quarter at Dindayal Nagar ( July 1) and SBI  Zonal Office, Kingsway. (July 3). The Camp will start at 9 am. The organizers have appealed to the general public to participate in large numbers.
 There will be launching of Software application on HCP SPACE a Mobile and Web based application will be launched by IMA in association with IQVIA for welfare of IMA members. There will be also release of INTIMATE a quarterly news bulletin of IMA by the hands of dignitaries.Â
