A carnival was organized by Orange Tales in association with Wear Your Pride on June 30 at Hislop College to mark the pride month of LGBTQ. Nagpurians came in masses to connect with the community and show their support for the community and spread love.
Aaman Raiyani a member of The Orange Tales informed that we organized this event for LGBTQ community to break stereotype. It is to spread a social message to the masses so that the society will take initiative and spread the message of equality. Here they can be who they are and embrace what they are, we called everyone so that they can meet and great with everyone.
Vidya kamble, Nikunj Joshi of Sarthi trust shared their life moments with all. People shared their stories, testimonials which motivated people and helped to end the fear of society acceptance, musical, dance performances were given by artist of Nagpur.
Niharika Dumdhare a member from Wear Your Pride informed that initially some of my friends said that people will not accept such kind of event and would not like to come and would not accept this, but we needed to do this to tell then what is this about and as I have seen many of my friends going to go through many bullies so I decided to do the event and we have worked very hard to commence this event. One has to accept this and people should not discriminate by color sex, I wanted to spread the message that this is something we should accept.
Anand Chandani President of Sarthi trust said “I am happy the youth have organized such event and honored us. The excitement is high we are loving it and happy to interact with peopleâ€.
Vandana Shukla “I saw it online after which I joined with my son and we totally support this group and we give are best wishes to the whole community and the team for supporting this event.â€
