Demanding to open the Student Union Elections, National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Nagpur district, on Wednesday met Dr. Mudgal at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and expressed their demands.
Assuring NSUI demands, Dr Abhay Mudgal, Director of Students’ Development, Nagpur University, said that he will discuss the matter with University Vice-Chancellor and will seek permission from the Governor.
Students Union Elections are conducted to elect a student representative from the colleges who put the student demands before the University.
If the NSUI demands are accepted then the elections will take place after 25 years. The students will have the power to chose its representative who would take students issue to the University.
Memorandum of Understanding demanding an open Students Union Election was submitted during the meeting. Nagpur District NSUI, District President Ashish Mandpe and National representative Aamir Nouri were present during the meet.
Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress General Secretary Ajit Singh, State Vice President of NSUI Abhishek Singh, General Secretary Pratik Kolhe, Pranay Thakur, Dadasa Bhoyar were also present.
