The employees of Vidarbha Konkan Gramin Bank launched an agitation against the management terming the bank’s policies as ‘anti-employees’. They staged a demonstration in front of bank’s head office at Pratap Nagar. They accused the management of the bank of ignoring the demand of employees.
The demonstration was staged under the banner of Eastern Maharashtra Bank Employees’ Association (EMBEA). Employees said, senior management officials of the bank have taken an undertaking from them they would not approach court to oppose transfer.
Retired employees are not getting pension on time and women employee’s request was not accepted.
President of EMBEA Suresh Bobhate, general secretary Jayant Gurve led the protest. As many as 150 employees took part in the agitation. A delegation led by Satyasheel Revatkar, Milind Wasnik also handed over a memorandum to the bank management.
