TruJet, an Indian regional airline promoted  jointly by entrepreneur Vankayalapati Umesh and actor Ram Charan has once again changed its plans while re-entering Nagpur. The domestic player which was keen to continue with two flights from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, one each to Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, has now decided to operate only on one route and start flight services between Nagpur and Ahmedabad.
According to available information, TruJet had earlier operated 2T 179/180 Nagpur-Ahmedabad -Nagpur and 2T 185/186 Nagpur-Hyderabad-Nagpur service. However, due to unavailability of aircrafts in the beginning the airlines will start operating on Ahmadabad route. From July 10 the Nagpur-Ahmadabad service will begin. At present, there is no direct flight between these two cities. Many traders from Nagpur regularly visit Gujarat for purchasing goods thanks to which the airlines will not face shortage of passengers.
TruJet will use ATR 72 (72 seater capacity) aircrafts on the route. It will be a daily flight, which will depart from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport here at 7 pm. From Ahmedabad it will depart for Nagpur at 5 pm. Gets nod for night parking facility.
TruJet has got permission for the night parking facility on Nagpur airport. TruJet will be the third airline which will have the night parking facility here. So far Indigo Airlines and Go-Air have the night landing facility. According to the sources in Mihan India Limited (MIL), TruJet has requested MIL to grant concession for night parking. TruJet’s request was approved as it was operating on a new route. TruJet has earlier operated from Nagpur therefore, as per MIL policy the old operator cannot get concession, but as the airlines will operate on new route, TruJet will get one month free parking facility.
