Chitnavis Centre and Civil Lines Residents Association, Nagpur (CAN) in association with Sir Gangadharrao Chitnavis Trust, had organised a workshop on ‘Water Crisis and Waste Segregation’ for the household people of the city with an aim to create awareness.
Anusaya Kale Chhabrani conducted the workshop in Hindi on Tuesday July 9 at Chitnavis Centre at 3.30 pm. The actual demonstration of Segregation of different types of waste and identification of which bin to use for which type of waste and how to handle it at source, was explained at the workshop.
The workshop received a great response from all the participants. It explained the audiences about SWM rules 2016 that has put each type of waste in a proper and systematic proform, so that the waste can be Reuse Reduce Recycle in the End resulting in Reducing Landfills.
Such workshops are of utmost importance to change mindsets and help those who handle it to come forward and take easy steps to minimise their own time and energy in disposing off the waste.
Necessary step for the waste generators and waste handlers to co-ordinate and achieve success by sending only 20 percent to Landfills. Neeta Kale , Trustee, Chitnavis Trust made it possible by organising the venue and other requirements.
