Ehsaan Noorani of the Musical trio Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy along with TORRINS Musical Group visited Centre Point School, Katol Road on July’ 5 and regaled the students with a power packed performance. The event marked the launch of an exciting opportunity for the students of the school to be trained by the TORRINS faculty.
The Centre Point School Choir welcomed the group with the song ‘The Rhythm of Life followed by a remarkable rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You†by Aman Ojha & Ishyta Sakharkar supported by Manmeet Singh & Cyrus Ghosh on the Djembe and guitar respectively.
The students of CPS Wardhaman Nagar who have been training with TORRINS set the stage on fire with their performance of ‘Believers’. The TORRINS instructors took over the next phase of the programme with a rocking rendition of ‘We will rock you’, ‘Summer of 69’ and created musical magic with various Bollywood hits.
The students gave a rousing cheer when Ehsaan Noorani took the stage and demonstrated the mesmerizing enchanting effect of the guitar. The audience clapped to the beats of the popular tunes and joined in with the lyrics.
The programme ended with the school choir singing the soulful song ‘Ai Vatan’ with Ehsaan playing the guitar.
The programme was attended by the Founder Directors Arundev Upadhyaya and Aruna Upadhyaya, Directors Dr. Jaisingh Rajwade, Radhika Rajwade and Abhijit Sanyal as well as the Executive Director Mukta Chatterjee.
The programme was compered by Rinku Chakraborty and Sushma Mankar while Anagha Mishra welcomed the guests and introduced the event.
