Jigyasa, a student scientist program organized by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR NEERI) is being held in their premises at which several competitions are being conducted for 20 schools who participated in the event. The program is being conducted from July 8 till 12 in which more than two hundred students have participated from the Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh state.
On July 12 being the last day of the event, the authorities of NEERI organized a workshop and an interaction session along with a renowned scientist N.K Singh, who taught few experiments to the students present during the workshop. Singh explained the wave theories during his lecture at NEERI and even explained the students three electromagnetic theory along with simple motor experiment and easy balance experiment.
The scientist also explained various article of his study, in a fun way to gather the attention of the school students. He even had a session where he asked the students to make hats out of a newspaper later in which he continually asked the areas of different shapes, during the progress of making a hat. During the craft session he also explained how to get a square shape out of rectangle without changing the area of the rectangular shape.
Singh is famous for his studies on Indian Agriculture and is currently a National Professor under ICAR at National Institute for plant biotechnology in New Delhi. He is even known for his research in the region of plant genomics and biotechnology, Singh has contributed.
