“The Terrifying Nightmares”, a team of six students from IIITN along with mentor Dr. Atish Daryapurkar have won the competition “Smart India Hackathon-2019, Agriculture Hardware Edition†and bagged the Trophy and prize money of Rs. 1 Lakh.
The competition was organized and held at CSIR-CSIO (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Central Scientific Instruments Organization) Chandigarh, and involved 1 Lakh+ technical Students, 3000+ technical institutions, 200+ organization across India.
IIITN students made the breakthrough when their prototype solution was accepted among 1101 teams for Round 2. After consistent hardwork for more than two months, the team cleared the second round and was called for SIH 2019 Finale at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh with 14 other teams with the prototype ready to roll in the finals.
“We faced many challenges throughout the journey but we stood together as a team and tackled every problem we came across. We always believe in one quote “Play to Winâ€, said the winning team. The students of IIITN and winners of SIH 2019, Saurav Gajbhiye, Purva Goydani, Vedant Gannarpwar, Harshal Khandait, Pranav Rabade and Kaushik Yelne, students of Third year B.Tech, expressed their gratitude- “We take this opportunity to thank Dr. O.G Kakde, Director – IIITN, I/c Dean Dr. A.G Kothari, I/c Registrar K.N.
