The final voters list to be published on 19 August
The district collector Ashwin Mudgal has issued an appeal to the youths who have completed 18 years of their age as on 1 January and yet have not registered their names in the voter’s list should get it done through filling prescribed Form no. 6.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) in consideration of the impending State Assembly elections has announced a second special short drive for revision of the voter’s list for those to have an opportunity who has been so far deprived and new voters who have acquired eligibility for inclusion as on 1 January 2019. The claims and objections in this regard will be accepted in the period until 30 July 2019 under this drive.
The voters who are going to register the name for the first time then they have to submit Form number 6. Those who have migrated and have their names twice in the voter’s list are required to submit Form number 7 for deletion of their names. The kin of deceased voters can also submit Form 7 for the deletion of the name of the deceased with due documents. Those who have errors in their photographs, names and address may submit Form 8 for the correction in those details. Those voters who have to transfer their names from one area into another area should submit the Form 8A and get their names transferred to the required area. The final lists will be published on 19 August 2019 after consideration of any claims and objections raised during this drive.
There are two special drives to be held in this program, one on 20-21 July and 27-28 July 2019. During the special drive the BLOs will be present on the respective voting centres. The collector Ashwin Mudgal has appealed to all the members of the society to take this opportunity of revision of voters list to verify their names and details.
