Rajasthan’s Prem Meena and Maharashtra’s Palak Bahal emerged winners in men’s and women’s categories respectively in the singles events of 17th Senior National Woodball Championship jointly organised by Woodball Association of India and Maharashtra Woodball Association at RTM Nagpur University playground here on Wednesday. In team event Jharkhand emerged winners in both the categories whereas Maharashtra finished runners-up. Around 900 players from 24 states participated in the nationals.
MLA Dr Milind Mane, DSO Avinash Pund and district planning officer Milind Naringe distributed the prizes. The student sof Wadi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyalaya performed tribal and Chhattisgarhi dance. The winners got medals and trophies.

Men’s doubles: Sanjeev -Saket (Chhattisgarh), Balbir-Dinesh (Rajasthan), Abhishek-Vikas Ingle (Maharashtra), Omar Mukhtar-Angel (Jammu-Kashmir). Women: Priyanka-Omini (Uttarakhand), Madhumati-Sunibala (Manipur), Pooja-Manorama (Jharkhand), Prachi-Pawan (Maharashtra). Mixed doubles: Prem-Priti (Rajasthan), Jitendra Patel- Pooja Choudhary (Chhattisgarh), Jahidul-Nahid Akhtar (Assam)
