A musical evening to celebrate Ashadh, with a prayer for sufficient Rainfall was organized at Chitnavis Centre on July 21, at Tamarind Hall. Shubhada Deshpande presented a soul catching act, Raag Bihag, with her Sitar Recital. Deshpande was accompanied by Ram Khadse on Tabla.
The act was followed by Classical Vocal recital by Pandit Aniruddha Deshpande, who presented Raag Shyam Kalyan, named Ek Taal – Bandish Jiyo Mere Lal. He also presented a piece of Natyasangeet. He was accompanied by Shrikant Pise on Harmonium and Ram Khadse a Tabla player.
The program was jointly organized by Chitnavis Centre, Maifil, Nagpur and G H Raisoni Sports and Culture Foundation.
