Prahar military school on July 26 presented an act depicting a war like situation in the honour and as a tribute to the martyrs on the eve of Kargil Vijay Divas.
The chief guest for the day was Lt Gen Rajendra Nimborkar who had participated in the Kargil war. He shared the memories of his experience of working continuously for three months at the height of more than 18,000 feet at subzero temperatures.
Moreover the eyes of the audience were tearful at the valiant stories of the jawans who laid their life in the war. The program was held in the Annasaheb Gokhale auditorium of Prahar Military School in Ravi Nagar.
The program started with welcome of the guests by the band squad of the school students, worship of Bharat Mata and laying of wreath on the Amar Jawan Memorial. Rich tributes were paid to the founder of the Prahar Late Col. Sunil Deshpande.
The students of class 10 made a power point presentation on martyrs of the war Captain Kishing Nangrun, Captain Vijayant Thapar, Captain Hanifuddin, and Rifleman Sanjay Kumar. Flight Lieutenant Shivan Deshpande welcomed the guest. Tapassu Meshram compered the program while head mistress Shubha Mohagaoukar proposed the vote of thanks.
Other guests present at the event were chairperson of Prahar Samaj Jagruti Sanstha Shama Deshpande, chairman of CP and Berar Education Society Major Gen Dev, secretary Anil Mahajan, Major Gen Anil Bam and Rekha Pande.
