In an exciting encounter, Saraswati Kanya Sangh pipped Vision Academy 25-23 by just two points on the first day  of Inter-Club (U-18) Junior District Basketball Championship began at the Nutan Bharat Yuwak Sangh (NBYS) in Bajaj Nagar.
From this tournament the 12-member Nagpur District Basketball Teams in both the boys and girls’ category will be selected.
SKS made positive start by winning first quarter 8-6. However in next quarter, Vision improved their performance and won it 4-3. thus in the first half SKS were leading 11-10 by just one point. In the third quarter SKS bounced back and won it 7-5. Although in the last quarter they lagged behind (7-8) managed to win the match by close margin. Thanks to Riya Kharpade (12) and Bhagyashree Kolwaokar (11) who displayed outstanding performance in pressure situation. For Vision the efforts of Krupayee Sharma (11) went in vian.
